Good afternoon Isle Cook Key West Foodies, it is time for an update!
First Wine Tasting is Saturday September 1 - at The Roost • 508 Fleming

As you may have heard, Bill and Eden Brown closed Isle Cook on Whitehead Street last week. We are so honored to carry forward their wonderfully creative addition to Key West’s culinary scene under the remarkable direction of chef Martha Hubbard and me, Daniel McCurdy, as Sommelier. The dinners will be in a different format and for what we believe is a worthy cause for Key West.

We are pleased to announce that starting in September, chef Martha will become the Executive Chef for the Fleming Street Faith Center, a 501(c)(3) organization, which will be dedicated to teaching children practical skills like cooking. Martha will now not only continue to host the dinners and wine tastings you all have grown to love, but she will also teach children valuable lessons in nutrition and cooking. More to come on the purpose and vision of this organization which we are fondly calling “The Peace Church.”

The church is currently being renovated, so we are in the process of preparing an interim location.  In the meantime, we are attaching the menus for the first few events to whet your appetites. The location and dates for these events will be set in the next few weeks.

The first wine tasting will occur on Saturday September 1 at the Roost, located at 508 Fleming Street.

We are setting up an online ticketing platform and will update you by August 15 so you can reserve your spots online.

You can expect future event emails from me, with details about continuing this savory Key West tradition. I am looking forward to seeing you all and dining together for a wonderful purpose in the years to come.
