Chef ​Marty Altenburger 


Chef Marty Altenburger took his first kitchen job at age 18 in Philadelphia and was instantly drawn in by the fast pace and skillful execution of a professional kitchen. After dabbling in a few other industries he decided to pursue his passion for cooking and enrolled in the culinary arts program at The Philadelphia Restaurant School. After graduation he spent some time in France furthering his knowledge and love of classic French cuisine. Back in the states he honed his skills working in the historic hotels and inns in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Chef Altenburger took advantage of the rich restaurant culture of the area staging with many of Philadelphia’s top chefs including legendary Le Bec Fin chef Georges Perrier. In 2010 opportunity brought him to Key West. In 2011, he took over as Executive Chef at Blackfin Bistro.
